Additional Information
Senior Faith and Fun Club
In the Spring of 2008, EBBC started the "Seniors Faith and Fun Club". It has now grown to 60 people, ages 55 and over. Once a month, we go on an outing together to a place of interest. This usually includes a lunch, a personal testimony from one of our members, and a devotional. Once every two months, we have a Planning Meeting at the church after the worship service.
Our goals are to minister to the needs of our members, and to lead others outside of our group to faith in Christ. Beside the monthly outings, we have a "Secret Seniors" ministry, a "Family Care" ministry, and an "Adopt a Teenager/Tweenager" ministry. Please come and check us out. If you would like to receive our bimonthly S.F.F.C. newsletter, please contact Barb at CoffanB@Juno.com
Deaf Ministry
If you are Deaf, hard-of-hearing, Deafblind, or oral, we welcome you to our church! We have something for everybody and plenty of interpreters. Deaf and hard-of-hearing children are also welcome in our Deaf Ministry. Advance notice will help us prepare to teach your children. Our Deaf Ministry was started in 1991. Since that time we have planted many seeds, and seen many Deaf people come to faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
We also interpret all of the special events of the church, and we voice interpret all of the Deaf-led events and special separate worship services. Neither hearing people nor Deaf people are left out of the loop. Annually, we send Deaf people and interpreters to the Southern Baptist Conference for the Deaf. Our other annual event that has become renown state-wide is our Christmas Party.
Interpreter Training Program
Are you a hearing person who wants to learn how to start a Deaf Ministry in your church, or learn sign language, or learn how to be a professional interpreter? We've got just the program for you! For the past 19 years, our church has run an Interpreter Training Program. From that, we've trained 73 interpreters who have gone out to start ministries all around the country.
We'll take you from wherever you are....a beginner, a CODA (child of Deaf adults), or a professional interpreter. Our I.T.P. is totally free, and has no classes. You will be trained through mentoring. It can take from 3 months to...well...some of the people have been in our program for 10 years. At the present time, there are 13 interpreter mentors and interpreters-in-training at East Boulder Baptist Church. Everyone of every faith is welcome.
Children's Church
East Boulder Baptist Children's Programs for infants through grade 5 is committed to helping your children establish and build relationships with Jesus Christ. To accomplish this goal, East Boulder Baptist provides a safe and fun environment where children experience God's love for them through relevant Bible teaching, music, and age-appropriate activities, which help children and students take next steps in their spiritual journeys and to live God-centered lives.
East Boulder Baptist Children's Program is committed to providing your children with a safe and secure environment. All volunteers and leaders are carefully screened, and a stringent check-in/check-out system is in place for all children in the nursery/preschool program.
During the church service we provide an opportunity for children in 1st through 5th grade to have their own worship experience through praise songs, prayer, games, Bible lessons, and crafts. In addition, the children are involved in missions work, such as, sending packages overseas with Operation Christmas Child, as well as to the families of missionaries from our church. We love to have new children join us and desire to make them feel welcome and special. Click here for more information about our programs for infants and children.
Women's Ministry
Our church has a wonderful ministry for women. It is designed to help women get to know Jesus in a more personal way, help them grow in their relationship with Him, create opportunities for them to serve Him and their community, and draw us together as true sisters in Christ.
Besides weekly Bible studies on Thursday mornings, we also offer activities several times a year to promote fun, fellowship and outreach. Two of our big events are the annual Women's Luncheon (near Mother's Day), and our 3-Day Women's Retreat. Women from age 18 - 101 (both Deaf and hearing) are always welcome!
